Telene is an avid quilter, designer and free motion quilt teacher from Gauteng, South Africa. She is a Handi Quilter International Ambassador and a South African Quilters Guild Accredited Quilt Teacher. Telene has won numerous prizes for her quilts and attained Master Quilter Status from the SAQG. She has proudly had quilts on display internationally as well.

Finding Your Quilt Inspiration

Telene’s goal is to inspire students of free motion quilting to simply try, as she knows they will never look back!

Finding Your Quilt Inspiration Presentation will begin at 9:30 am Central Standard Time. (one hour length)

Free to Members. $10 for Guests.

Grids 2.0 Workshop

Workshop begins at 10:30 am. This will be a 3-hour lecture and demonstration.

Grid design is a standard feature of free motion quilting. This course builds on basic grid designs to create intricate designs that are perfect for backgrounds around feature designs or in borders and sashing as fill or stand-alone design. Telene’s technique will assist students as they learn to create amazing fill designs using grid markings with no need to draw out the entire pattern. Some free motion quilting experience is needed. Beginners to Advanced. 

Cost: $40 for members for hands-on workshop. $50 for guests.
