Lilo Bowman is the author of Love Your Creative Space, a lecturer, and has served as the Editor-in-Chief of TheQuiltShow.com since 2007. She frequently speaks and consults on organizational strategies for both hobbyist and professional creative makers.
Lilo grew up in Germany and later lived on four different continents as a military spouse, enriching her life with diverse experiences. Her careers in floral design, translation, USO tour guiding, and wedding/conference planning exposed her to a wide range of cultures and deepened her passion for travel, history, food and textiles. As a passionate advocate for civic engagement, Lilo has held leadership roles in philanthropic organizations across both military and civilian sectors for over thirty years. She is currently the President of SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates). Lilo currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas.

Creating Fun for All on the Playground

Is that quilting machine and all its ‘gear’ taking over your playground space? Batting, rulers, pantographs and cone thread collections can very quickly become overwhelming and get out of hand. Learn how to build a system that corrals the one who ‘wants to take over’ and ensures enough space for everyone at the playground to get along.

Presentation will begin at 10:00 am Central Standard Time. (one hour length)

Designing on your tablet with ibisPaint X

Workshop begins at 12 noon. This will be a 2-3-hour lecture and hands on workshop.

Lean how to upload a quilt or block image and use various tools to design your quilting. Gwendolyn has been using computers to make images and designs since she was in her high school architecture classes.

Don’t let the tech scare you! She has easy to follow step by step instructions so you can use your tablet to create different layers and audition different quilting motifs. And even how she uses this to design her mandala quilts!

Please come to the workshop with ibisPaint X downloaded to your tablet (iPad or Android based device). You can use your phone but the experience will be a challenge and won’t be addressed in this workshop. Please also have 3-4 quilt/block pictures loaded onto your tablet.
