After a longarm purchase in the late nineties, Jamie began to develop his own unique style of quilting. He teaches his signature workshops and classes, Mystical Quilting series and Threadfusion.  Jamie enjoys sharing his knowledge of quilting and his YouTube channel has become a hit. He continues to teach nationally and internationally. Home base for Jamie is  Quilters Apothecary in Michigan City Indiana, where he is pursuing his art, filming instructional video, hand dyeing, quilting and teaching  workshops. In 2013 Jamie was the recipient of the 2012 Machine Quilting Teacher of the Year.

Thread Painting

Join Jamie for an Hour Long Lecture on His Award Winning Thread Painting Techniques. Jamie will give an abbreviated explanation from his 3 day workshop on how to prepare fabric, what threads he uses and how to get a true photorealistic rendering to incorporate into your wall art or quilt. For those that feel they don’t have the artistic gift Jamie will show how to use photos to perfect your special art project.

Thread Painting Presentation will begin at 10:00 am.

Mystical Blocks and Borders Workshop

Program begins at 12:30 pm central standard time, and will last four hours. 

Cost: $40 to members, $50 Guests, for hands-on workshop which includes a digital workbook. Participants will receive a digital version of the workbook to print out before the workshop. Students will also receive a discount code for a limited time to purchase related tools from Quilters Apothecary.
